Important medical conversations shouldn't be forgotten.
Some people bring a loved one to take notes. Some ask the doctor to slow down. Some nod along and look it up later. And some — quietly — don't fully understand what they were just told, and don't feel like they can ask again.
Who DoctorMic is for.
Medical appointments move fast. Diagnoses are complex. Emotions run high. DoctorMic lets you revisit the conversation afterwards — at your own pace, in your own time — so you can actually absorb what was said and feel confident about what comes next.
Supporting someone through their care is its own kind of work. When a patient shares their appointment with you, you're not going in blind. You know what the doctor said, understand the plan, and can help follow through — without playing a guessing game.
You explain something clearly. You're thorough. And then the patient walks out, and you have no way of knowing whether it landed. DoctorMic gives patients the ability to revisit your guidance — which means better follow-through, fewer callbacks, and patients who feel genuinely heard.
Medical language is hard. The stakes are high. And you're expected to remember everything the moment you walk out the door.
Your data.
Health information is among the most personal data that exists. We take that seriously — not as a compliance checkbox, but as a founding principle.
You decide what gets recorded.
Nothing happens without your explicit consent. DoctorMic never records automatically — you are always in control of when a conversation is captured.
You choose who sees it.
Sharing is always a deliberate choice. You decide if and when to share a recording or summary with a loved one, a caregiver, or anyone else — and you can change that at any time.
Transparency at every step.
We are clear about what DoctorMic does with your data, how it is stored, and who can access it. No hidden processes, no fine print surprises.
Handled with care.
Medical information deserves more than standard data practices. We treat every recording with the sensitivity it requires — because we understand what it contains.
Your recordings belong to you. Full stop.
Why DoctorMic?
DoctorMic came out of a personal experience. Our founders watched loved ones struggle to keep up with what was being said in the exam room — not because they weren't trying, but because appointments are fast, the language is technical, and the stakes make it hard to think clearly. Language barriers made it harder. And the person who could translate wasn't always there.
We built DoctorMic because we believe every patient — regardless of language, background, or how much support they have around them — deserves to leave an appointment with a clear understanding of their own care.
The conversation doesn't have to end when the appointment does.
DoctorMic exists to make sure what was said in that room is still accessible, still understandable, and still useful — later that evening, a week from now, or whenever you need it most.
